
In May 2009, we launched our first Biggest Loser contest. We are so happy to announce the proud and deserving winner, Carrie Fries.
Carrie lost 17 pounds during the ten-week contest. On July 27, Carrie's personal trainer, Amy Gilson, presented her with a $700 winner-take-all check. CONGRATULATIONS Carrie!

Interview with Carrie Fries, the Summer 2009 Biggest Loser Contest Winner
Fitness Defined - What did you do differently from your normal workout regimen that helped you win the ten-week Biggest Loser contest?
Carrie - I increased my cardio sessions. I did double cardio sessions five days a week during the last three weeks of the contest.
Fitness Defined - What was your biggest challenge during the contest?
Carrie - Watching my nutrition on the weekends.
Fitness Defined - Other than the prize money, what was the most rewarding during the contest?
Carrie - Seeing the change in my body and increase in strength.
Fitness Defined - What advice would you give to someone who is interested in losing weight?
Carrie - You need to make a conscious decision to make a change in your life. With hard work and dedication, you can reach your goals.
